Established as a Colony in 2000, on March 3, 2002 the Iota Theta chapter of Alpha Phi was fully chartered. Since receiving our full charter the women of Alpha Phi have formed a strong and active sisterhood with a strong reputation for excellence within the Laurier community.
Throughout the year the women of Alpha Phi are involved on campus and locally in activities such as our Shinerama drive, KW Santa Claus Parade and winter games. Within the Greek community we are involved in Greek Council, Greek Games and our annual formal. As sisters, we are regularly involved in sisterhood retreats and activities. Every year Alpha Phi holds the annual Coyote Ugly at Wilf’s evening, with all proceeds donated to the Alpha Phi foundation for Women’s Cardiac Care.
Sisters are also involved in many activities at Laurier including Charity Ball, Medieval Boarshead, Public Relations, Radio Laurier, Laurier Students for Literacy, Athletic Association and hiring committee. Alpha Phi’s can also be seen during O-Week as Icebreakers and Shinerama boosters and throughout the year as Resident Life Staff members.
Joining a Fraternity and associating with other achieving women, often encourages participation in other activities. In Alpha Phi you will form friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. We look forward to introducing you to our members who are already experiencing the joys of sisterhood.
