Careers in Arts
Date Posted: June 8, 2001

Arts graduates enter the job market, flexible and highly literate, with exceptional abilities in the areas of communication (both oral and written), problem solving and research. Research on Humanities and Social Science graduates (see the links below) show that most Arts graduates end up in management and professional positions with high rates of pay and a high rate of job satisfaction. Arts programs provide a solid foundation for such careers by establishing an informed understanding of an increasingly globalized and multicultural world, both by introducing the cultural and intellectual traditions that inform contemporary ways of thinking, and by studying contemporary issues and emerging trends and attitudes.
