- Musee McCord Museum. "The
McCord Museum conserves and presents over 1,213,000 objects, images and manuscripts,
all irreplaceable reflections of the social history and material culture of
Montreal, Quebec and Canada." They have created a virtual and fully bilingual
version here with something for everyone. Wow! The image database is amazing,
especially the conceptual map method of locating sources as an alternative
to the straight-forward search by subject (which you can also do). Follow
the "Keys to History" to explore Canada's past via thematic tours,
a database to the some 90,000 digitized artifacts, or interactive games. The
McCord Museum is enthusiastic about the educational potential of this site.
Check out their "ClioClic" section or the public zone for more information.
